This week’s second night of the “Live Concert Tribute to Larry Young” at Long Waits will be made even more special with the presence of guest artist Ms. Akina Hadano, from Japan, performing on her clarinet.
A seasoned musician, Akina Hadano was born in Kushima City, Miyazaki Prefecture. She attended Fukuoka Prefectural Chikushi Chuo High School and graduated from Fukuoka Women’s Junior College with a degree in instrumental and symphonic music. With a solid foundation, she appeared in the school’s 31st graduation concert and studied under renowned teachers such as Keiko Kinoshita and jazz artist Shusaku Yamano.
